Raudondvaris castle and park. Close to Kaunas, possible to reach by private car, public transport No. 48 from the Kaunas Castle (Kauno pilis) bus station or by  passanger boat from Kaunas centre.
Raudondvaris church (neogothic, neoclasicism). Built in 1852 - 1856. Lithuanian nobileman  
Benediktas Emanuelis Tiškevičius funded  construction of the church and is buried there (together with his wife). 
Project author Italian architector Cesare Anichini from Florence. Anichini arrived to the lands of the former Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1812 as an engineer within Napoleon's Grande Armée.
The church destroyed in 1915 during I World War and rebuilt in 1930-1938.
The church partially destroyed in 1944 during II World War. Rebuilt in 1957.

German writer and anti-war activist Arnold Zweig lived in Raudondvaris at the end of I World War.
How to get there?  Take the bus No. 48 leaving from the Kaunas castle bus stop.


Juniper valley (Arlaviškės, Kaunas distr.) - located outside Kaunas, you can reach it by car(30mins from the city centre, approx. 25km) or by boat in summer time, or by bus No. 179 (until stop Kadagių slėnis) from the Kaunas bus station.
​You can enjoy beautiful landscape of Lithuania. Juniper walley depends to Kauno mariu regional park
. There is educational path on the bank of Kaunas reservoir (Nemunas river, lenght 1,3km, wooden part 0,5km).  - The weather there is very fresh, because of juniper trees.

Kedainiai -  small town 50km from Kaunas with the middle ages Old town.

Kėdainiai town is easy accessible by bus from the Kaunas bus station.  Journey takes approx. 1 h.
Adam Freitag - mathematics professor, war engineer, doctor of medical sciences lived there and is buried in Kedainiai.

The Open-Air  Ethnography Museum of Lithuania  one of the largest ethnographic open-air museums in Europe.
